A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
